Easily the worst command a Corpsman can get stationed to. Many docs confirm that NH JAX is the only hospital that will make you stand a 12 hour watch being a receptionist for lack of a better term. If you're a new HN going there they make you go through a nonsense program called HMU which is more or less Corps School in a nutshell. They make you think no one has a clue where you'll be assigned (department-wise) but trust me 9 times out of 10 you're going to the inpatient wards working 13 hour shifts and coming in on your days off for PT and admin nonsense. You can't transfer until you've worked there for a year either. Duty section is taken so seriously that if you're late due to patient care (not like anyone cares) you get an extra watch. And the best part is duty section isn't even a high demand task given that you're standing there for about 20 minutes hearing an E-6 babble on their soapbox. If you don't have a car or friends get either one fast because you will hate that walk to the hospital at 0balls30. The tables are turned in this pseudo-Navy duty station where the officers are more polite to lower enlisted and your senior enlisted leaders bend you over repeatedly. Do not trust anyone. IF you manage to get an IA to escape it's likely to Gitmo or possibly the USNS Comfort. There's little to nothing to do on ba
